Pastor Mark was called to be pastor at St. Peter's in June of 2000, after serving for some time as a mentor for the congregation in the area of outreach. St. Peter's is the third congregation where he has served since the 80's. All three ministries have included elementary schools (previously in Pittsburgh, PA & Palatine, IL). He is a graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and the Pastoral Leadership Institute. He has participated in mission trips with the St. Peter's family to Mongolia and Russia as well as disaster relief locally and out of state. In the community, Mark is very involved in the Edina Morningside Rotary Club.

His personal interests include enjoying time with his "girls": wife Joann, and daughters Hannah, Emma, & Jenna. He enjoys working with technology as a tool for ministry, website development with community organizations, and various home improvement projects. When not at St. Peter's on the weekends, you can find Pastor Mark at the racetrack. He serves as a volunteer NASCAR Cup Series chaplain.

Biblical Purpose:
I am a forgiven child of God who is motivated everyday by His love.

Impact Statement:
God has given me a passion for helping families experience His presence in their lives so that their homes will be warm welcoming places where Christ’s power is evident in every way – and everyone near experiences God’s love.

Personal Values:

Family -- the home is a place of joy where we best learn about forgiveness, relationships, and eternal things – the family is being bombarded

Missional Living -- lost people matter to God! Keep people aware of God’s plan to draw others unto Himself

Teamwork -- don’t waste a single life for Kingdom productivity; invest in others so they can serve; thoughtful organization get the task done

Relationships -- experiencing life together – build others with encouragement

Appreciation -- slow down & acknowledge how God is working through others to Give HIM glory!

Dependence -- overwhelmed, I need to seek God’s will for only doing the “most important” and seek the help of others

Life Integration -- living for God in every aspect of my life
