Amanda Vaudt-Ortiz is our Kindergarten & 1st grade teacher. Amanda has served as a teacher since 2001, a graduate of Concordia University, St. Paul. She has taught in various levels from Pre K through 2nd grade in Lutheran Schools in Wisconsin and Arizona, most recently at Risen Savior, Chandler, AZ and at Trinity, Merrill, WI.
Amanda writes: “Every day is a joy to go and sing God’s praises and teach the children about God’s great love!” In reference to the classroom, “When there are behavior issues in the classroom, we can review the commands that God has given to us, rules to live by. When a student is hurt, God heals. When a student makes a mistake, God forgives. The students are able to model that behavior with each other when they hurt each other. ‘Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.’ Galatians 5:25”
“I depend on God! Sometimes it’s hard to understand the path He is leading me to, but He has always been faithful. I spend a lot of my devotional time with my daughter. We do a Bible story devotion every evening.” |
