Worshiping together as a family is a special time. Children learn by what their parents model. Parents also need to grow in their faith too. So at St. Peter's worship begins & ends together - every week - with children and adults. We sing together, pray, hear God's word read and enjoy a children's message.  Then the children are invited to an age appropriate time of learning.  The students actually hear the same Biblical story that the rest of the congregation receives in the sermon - and the parents get to concentrate without needing to keep an eye on their children.  Students return for prayer, blessing, & closing song.

Kids Kare (5 years and younger)

Kids Kare is led by an *ECE professional after the children's message through the end of the sermon. This time is a gift for parents to focus on God's Word while their children learn in their own way at the same time. The children will be fine on their own with the teacher, however, parents are always welcome to join them!

Kids Kount (K to 5th Grade)

During the summer, kids receive a weekly serving challenge during the children's message (work gloves, cookie dough, etc.) Using worksheets, students are encouraged to work with their family to come up with a serving plan for the day/week.  The next week, we have an opportunity to share a praise report of how God blessed the serving.

During the school year, students are invited to age appropriate learning while their parents focus on God's Word during the sermon. The lesson includes a monthly memory verse (with sign language), a Bible story, and active learning or a craft project that supplements the story of the day.  Students return to the sanctuary during the offering to enjoy the rest of worship together as a family. Kids Kount is led by an adult duo made up of a teacher and a Student Ministries volunteer.

Faith Learning at Home

The Bible tells us that the best teachers of the faith are parents!  (Acts 2:38-39, Deuteronomy 6:6-9, Proverbs 1:8-9, 2 Timothy 3:15-16,  Proverbs 22:6, Proverbs 29:15,  Psalm 78:4-7)  We see our role at St. Peter’s as equipping you with the tools you need to be the best teacher of the faith you can be to your child.

To that end, we are excited to provide you with complimentary access to “RightNow Media.”  It’s like a spiritual “Netflix.”  You’ll have unlimited access to some of the most popular Christian children’s videos!  But, we’re not just interested in giving you quality education resources for your child.

We want to give quality education resources for you, the parent!  RightNow Media has over 14,000 Bible study videos for adults…that cover topics that are relevant to you…parenting, marriage, finances and more!

Faith Family & Friends (All Ages)

Your family is a gift of God!  When families experience faith together it makes for lasting memories.  We want to equip parents to be able to bring up spiritual matters all week long. On the fourth Sunday of every month, the whole family of faith gathers in the sanctuary to begin worship.  After the children's message, children and their parents are invited to the Underground Room for a time of active Biblical learning together. Please join us for a hands on opportunity to live out the good news!  Invite friends too.
