S.H.A.P.E.

You are unique and God made you that way for a unique purpose based on the way He has designed or SHAPEd you.  He made you marvelously unique for a reason. Tap into that reason and into the secrets of your own deeply personal makeup—the remarkable ensemble of Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences that work together to make help you fulfill that purpose! You’ll discover the path to a life of unimagined purpose, impact, and fulfillment.

Beginning on Sunday, April 8 the St. Peter’s family begin their SHAPE journey together and you are invited to be a part of it with us!

On Sundays in our 9:30 am worship service, Pastor Mark will be teaching about what the Bible has to say about each element of your SHAPE and how it is a gift from God to empower you to make a difference in the world today.

After worship on Sundays at 11:00 am or at multiple different times throughout the week in our Missional Small Groups, you are invited to dig deeper and actually discover exactly your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences are and how God may be calling you to use them to benefit the world around you! Isn’t that what we all long for…to be fulfilled in the way God designed us and to use that to be a blessing to others?

So don’t miss out…let’s start the journey together on Sunday, April 8 at 9:30 am!

Can’t make it to a small group, but want discover more about yourself just the same?  You are invited to read through the book “SHAPE” during this series.  You can pick up a book from our Welcome Center ($10 suggested donation) or you can purchase one yourself here.

Bibles, Burgers and Beer

Bibles, Burgers & Beer is a time to try new beer, tasty burgers and get to know new friends and God better!  We meet at the brewery at noon to sample their flavors.  Promptly at 1:00pm, we’ll start our bible discussion at the brewery. As for the burgers, it’s a B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Burger) event. For each brewery, we have suggested two nearby burger places for you to choose from, but ultimately the choice is yours! Also, several of these breweries will have food trucks on site, so make sure to check their website for more information.

In May, we’ll be visiting Bad Weather Brewing Co.  Some suggested restaurants that are nearby to snag your burgers from include Burger Moe’s (242 7thSt W, Saint Paul, MN 55102) and Shamrocks (995 7thSt W, Saint Paul, MN  55102)

Each month, we’ll be discussing another person’s prayers recorded in the Old Testament (or “First” Testament)  We’ll be talking about whether we can be honest with God when we pray…and what the Old Testament shows us.  From the exuberant praise of Moses and Miriam to the desperate cries of Jeremiah, the First Testament is rich with heartfelt prayers to the Heavenly Father. What does that mean for us?  Let’s talk about it!

The prayer group comes together each weekly to simply do that:  pray.  It doesn’t matter If you’ve never prayed or are a seasoned “prayer warrior,” you are welcome to join us!

We start by reading a Psalm or two and then speak out loud our adoration, confession, thanksgiving and requests to God in Jesus’ Name.

If you can’t participate, but have a prayer request, you can share them with Faith Rattei and she will include them each week.
