Lent: 40 Day Prayer Challenge

  • St. Peter's Edina (Underground Room) (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

This has the potential to be the most significant forty days of your life! Why? Because prayer is the difference between the best you can do and the best God can do. When we pray, God starts fighting our battles for us! Discover faith-building stories of God’s answers to prayer, daily scriptures and prayer prompts, that will inspire you to pray and keep praying like never before.

First, don’t take the challenge by yourself.
Invite your missional small group, church members, friends and family to take the challenge with you. Then circle each other in prayer for forty days!

Second, commit yourself to forty days.
You’ll have some ups and downs, no doubt. But keep circling “Jericho” like the Israelites did. The goal of this challenge isn’t prayer. It’s “praying through.” So even if you get discouraged, keep on keeping on.

Finally, the ultimate goal is to get to know God better.
Prayer isn’t about outlining your agenda to God. It’s about getting into God’s word and God’s presence and letting Him outline His agenda to you. God might just surprise you over the next forty days.

The Schedule

Wednesdays – Noon and 6:30pm
Sundays - 11:00am

February 14/18 - Week One - Drawing The Circle
February 21/25 - Week Two - Dream Big
February 28/4 - Week Three - Pray Hard
March 7/11 - Week Four - Think Long
March 14/18 - Week Five - The Ripple Effect
March 21/25 – Week Six – The Challenge

In the Underground Room at St. Peter’s – Fruit and dessert will be served.

Anti-Trafficking: Post Game Plan

  • Wooddale Church – Eden Prairie Campus (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

One month after Super Bowl 52, pastors and church representatives are invited to a breakfast to debrief on anti-trafficking efforts following the big game.

Sgt. Grant Snyder of the Minneapolis Police Department’s Human Trafficking task force, will be leading the discussion, including an overview of what took place during Super Bowl 52, and will compel the church to be at the center of local anti-trafficking efforts in rescuing victims, and also in restoring perpetrators

“This isn’t a problem of more resources or more handcuffs. I think this is a sin problem, and we know the right solution for sin is to turn your eyes to the Gospel,” said Sgt. Snyder.

Hear from a panel of key players in the anti-trafficking movement and meet with vendors from local anti-trafficking organizations, plus receive:

  1. Clear action steps to move beyond the Super Bowl
  2. Networking opportunities with other churches
  3. Practical on-ramps for working with existing anti-trafficking organizations

For more information or to coordinate your attendance with St. Peter’s representatives, contact Faith Rattei, Community Outreach Director.
