Welcome

More of You, God is a journey of restoration through Lent. The messages and the daily journal invite you to deepen your connection with God and lessen your dependence upon self. The More of You, God prayer journal invites you on a faith journey to explore the narrative of God’s story as you consider each aspect of your life.

Pick up a free copy at the Welcome Center this morning.

Through a daily cadence of pausing, Scripture reading, discovery, and prayer, you will have an opportunity to respond each day. Every week ends with a prompt to help you more deeply notice God’s love and grace in your life. As you spend more time in the presence of God, His influence in every aspect of your life increases, bringing you closer to the fully restored relationship we will experience in heaven.

Please use the Connect Card in the seat back so we can celebrate with you or complete the Digital Connect Card to let us know if we may serve you in any way. Please come again to worship with us soon.

More of You God

Do you know Jesus? It’s one thing to know facts about him, but to experience his love, wisdom, and guidance in your life is what it means to follow him. On the night before he was crucified, Jesus invited his disciples into a deep relationship with the triune God—and his invitation stands for us too.

For the next 3 weeks we will watch a video Bible teaching series by Francis Chan where we will dive into John 13–17, a passage rich in promises, commands, and eternal truths. He’ll remind us we aren’t called to a part-time faith—we were made to know, walk with, and commune with God.

We will gather together in the Discipleship Room just to the right as you leave the sanctuary. Grab some Caribou and a treat as you come into the room. Please head to the room about 10:45am.

We are excited to share a message of Restoration during the Holy Week. Invite family and friends to experience it with you.

Throughout Lent, we have been on a journey of restoring the lost relationship in Eden. We are there!

The promise is fulfilled.
The battle is over.
The curse has been lifted.
The victory has been won.
The relationship with our Creator has been restored.

Joining Jesus

How to be an everyday missionary. Sound interesting? Joining Jesus on His Mission will alter the way you see your life as a follower of Jesus and take you beyond living your life for Jesus to living life with Jesus. Simple, powerful and applicable insights show you how to be on mission and recognize where Jesus is already at work in your neighborhoods, workplaces and schools. You will feel both relief and hope. You may even hear yourself say, “I can do this!” as you start responding to the everyday opportunities Jesus is placing in your path.

It all starts with the book. We have a copy for you! Pick one up today. Hop on the Zoom book discussion on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:00pm. Interested? How do you participate? Grab a book. Read chapter 11-13 for discussion this week then join us by clicking on the video link below.

After reading the book and seeing how Jesus is “messing with you,” you are invited to a workshop in St. Paul on May 13-14 where we will sit down in the neighborhood of the authors and be challenged to be everyday missionaries. The workshop will run from 1pm to 8pm each day and will include dinner both days. We will carpool together from St. Peter’s.

Ready? Contact Pastor Mark for more information or express your interest. mshockey@stpetersedina.org

A Famly Friendly Celebration for STP KIDS

Hosanna is a word the children and adults shouted when Jesus came into Jerusalem on a Donkey on Palm Sunday. Just in time for Holy week, we will have a very active morning filled with stories and crafts. We will have some brunch snacks and the morning will wrap up with a huge Easter egg hunt.

Would you help us make the day special. Donate miniature candies we can load into plastic eggs. (or buy pre-filled eggs!) Just drop off individually wrapped candies at the Welcome Center. (If you forgot it is not too late - bring them any day this week.) If you would rather donate to the activities and supplies, just mark your gift “Kids Fest” and we will invest it in sharing the incredible message of Christ’s love demonstrated throughout Holy Week. Want to join in a fun morning project? Stick around after Sunday worship to help fill eggs with candy.

Reservations are not required but help us plan and have supplies on hand.

Ministry Support

We encourage you to join us in the excitement of generous giving to see what God is doing in our community and around the world. There is a basket near the main entryway if you would like to contribute. Check the giving options on the website by clicking the button below. Perhaps you want to support the Lord’s ministries, or give specifically to the Facility Fund or the gym fund. Wherever and however you give, you will partner with God to bless others.

Together we meet families at the intersection of faith and real life.
