Greeting

This Lent, we will be walking with our Savior. Jesus invites us to follow.... to go on the journey with Him. So lets get started!

Prayer For Laborers

Lord Help Us Walk Your Servant Way

Lord help us walk Your servant way
Wherever love may lead
And bending low forgetting self
Each serve the others need

You came to earth O Christ as Lord
But power You laid aside
You lived Your years in servanthood
In lowliness You died

No golden scepter but a towel
You place within the hands
Of those who seek to follow You
And live by Your commands

You bid us bend our human pride
Nor count ourselves above
The lowest place the meanest task
That waits the gift of love

Lord help us walk Your servant way
Wherever love may lead
And bending low forgetting self
Each serve the others need

Scripture Reading

Matthew 9:35-38 - Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

STP Kids Dismissal

STP Kids is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!

I Will Follow

All Your ways are good
All Your ways are sure
I will trust in You alone
Higher than my sight
High above my life
I will trust in You alone

Where You go I'll go
Where You stay I'll stay
When You move I'll move
I will follow You
Who You love I'll love
How You serve I'll serve
If this life I lose
I will follow You
I will follow You

Light into the world
Light into my life
I will live for You alone
You're the One I seek
Knowing I will find
All I need in You alone
In You alone

Where You go I'll go
Where You stay I'll stay
When You move I'll move
I will follow You
Who You love I'll love
How You serve I'll serve
If this life I lose
I will follow You
I will follow You

In You there's life everlasting
In You there's freedom for my soul
In You there's joy unending joy

In You there's life everlasting
In You there's freedom for my soul
In You there's joy unending joy
And I will follow

Who You love I'll love
How You serve I'll serve
If this life I lose
I will follow

Where You go I'll go
Where You stay I'll stay
When You move I'll move
I will follow You
Who You love I'll love
How You serve I'll serve
If this life I lose
I will follow You

I will follow You
I will follow You
I will follow You

Prayer

Confession of Sins

All: Lord, You call us to follow; You call us to serve; You call us to be faithful to the truth of the Scriptures. Yet we are fearful, busy, lazy. We have seen your love and compassion, but it has not changed our hearts. You have heard our excuses - we ask your forgiveness for not loving others as we should; for not being obedient as we could. Increase our courage and faith for the days ahead. Prepare us to serve.

Communion

The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod holds the Biblical teaching that in Communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of the real presence of the Christ in this meal and grace through faith in Christ, and if you agree with our confession of faith, please join with the fellowship of disciples in Holy Communion.

“Everyone should examine themselves first, and then eat the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.” (1 Corinthians 11:28-29)

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Pastor: We give thanks for You have had mercy on us and given Your only-begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. We thank You that You have strengthened us with the body and blood of Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. We have received the forgiveness of our sins, life, and salvation in His name. Now send us out as laborers into the harvest fields. Assist us, on our journey, to do the good works that You desire; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

All: Amen.

Pastor: Hear us as we pray in His name and as He has taught us:

The Lord’s Prayer

All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Blessing

Lamentations 3:22 - Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

How Great Is Our God

The splendor of the King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps Himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
And trembles at His voice

How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see how great
How great is our God

And age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the End
Beginning and the End
The Godhead three in one
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb

How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see how great
How great is our God

Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see how great
How great is our God

How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see how great
How great is our God
