Holy Week Services at St. Peter’s

Maundy Thursday: March 28 - 6:30pm - Red Letters from the Garden

Join Jesus and the disciples in the garden following the Lord Supper where he prays. Do you remember what He said to them?

Good Friday Observance: March 29 - Noon or 6:30pm - Red Letters from the Cross

In the midst of His suffering, Christ didn’t say much. But each of His statements, as he hung there on the cross, were powerful. Through the years we have cherished and recalled these statements that have to do with our salvation. We will sit around the cross together as we remember those words recorded in red in the Bible from the cross.

Holy Saturday - March 30 - ONLINE ONLY - Red Letters from the Burial

Christ was taken down from the cross before sundown when the Sabbath began in order that He could be buried. A Jewish leader, Joseph of Arimathea, claimed His body and placed it in a new tomb. There a stone was rolled in front the entrance and the tomb was secured. Before His death, Jesus spoke of His burial. During this time of darkness between the cross and the resurrection, recall those Red Letters. An email link will be sent or subscribe to the St. Peter’s -Edina You Tube channel to be notified when this short devotion is ready for viewing.

Easter Sunday - March 31 - 9:30am - Red Letters from the Tomb

Several times Jesus predicted his suffering, death, AND resurrection. Words that connected the events with God’s plan of salvation. When we hear the Red Letters spoken from the empty tomb everything was now changed! After our 40 Day Red Letter Challenge these words will hold new meaning and significance for all who gather. They are words of life; of hope; of peace; of a future for you and me. Invite others to join you for this powerful Easter service. Immediately following the service, join us for an Easter Parfait as we spread the joy of the Resurrection!

Oracles of God: The Story of the Old Testament

Jesus quotes the Old Testament Scriptures in His Red Letters. Go deep in discovering the origin and history of the Old Testament Scriptures. Join us as we embark on a mesmerizing exploration through time, tracing the footsteps of Moses, the Torah, and the Israelite kingdom. We will follow the drama of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Hebrew Bible’s genesis. The story will last several Sundays.

Bring some treats down the elevator to the Underground Room for a full cinematic experience! We will start at 10:40am and wrap up at 11:30am.

Ready to Serve?

We are a small church - but we make a big impact when we serve together! Ready to put the Red Letters of Jesus into practice and serve? St. Peter’s ultimate goal is to meet families at the intersection of faith & real life. That means we need to go do “real life” with people outside of St. Peter’s. Find opportunities to serve in the community. Everything that happens at St. Peter’s happens because people just like you come together and make it happen! See volunteer opportunities to serve others here.

Giving

See what God will do through the blessings you have already received. Invest in our community and our ministries that serve beyond our walls. Together we meet families at the intersection of faith and real life. It is a DOUBLE BLESSING!
