Prayer Requests
Sunday, December 18
Our service, this morning, will be followed by brunch and Christmas activities downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. There will be a photo booth, Christmas ornament decorating, and the story of St. Nicholas of Mrya story time along with a special visit from jolly 'ol St. Nick himself!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Welcome the Lord with this worship service for Christmas Eve. Jesus is born for us all on this silent night in the little town of Bethlehem. His first cry announces to the world that the darkness of sin is done away with by the shining light of His amazing love. Jesus is the light of the world. We have a candle ready for you! Saturday, December 24, 4:30pm.
Christmas Day Service
In this festive Christmas Day service, we celebrate with joy the birth of our Lord, born to save us from sin, death, and the devil forever. Christ comes bringing salvation. Sing Christmas carols and join around the table of the Lord as we are reborn as His brothers and sisters this day and eagerly anticipate what our new life in Him has in store for us. Sunday, December 25, 9:30am. Join us for our traditional nativity service.
Advent Devotion Book
In this Advent worship series for families, we are reminded that Chrsit is with us. He enters into our homes to strengthen and support us, save and renew us. We are changed by His presence as we grow closer to one another. Be sure to pick up a copy of this year’s Advent Devotion Book: “Be Born in Us Today” at the welcome center or request a copy to be mailed at info@stpetersedina.org. The daily readings correspond to the Sunday worship themes and our Christmas services at St. Peter’s
Pastor Led Bible Class
You are invited to join with fellow worshipers in the weekly WORDS OF FAITH Bible Study where we look at Scripture in more depth. Examine the context to see the setting of the story. Apply Biblical truth to your life. At 10:30am in the Discipleship Room to the right as you exit the sanctuary. Bring a cup of coffee in with you.
St. Peter’s Survey Opportunity
St. Peter's is participating in a national study “Exploring the Pandemic Impact on Congregations” with the University of Minnesota and the Hartford Institute for Religion Research. This study explores the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on hundreds of Christian churches in the United States. It includes in-depth studies of how churches have engaged the challenges and opportunities presented by the Covid-19 pandemic and how churches continue to adapt and change. As part of this research, you are invited to take this survey. It should take about 12-15 minutes to complete. Your responses are anonymous and confidential. This is a valuable opportunity for St. Peter's attenders to share experiences and thoughts that will contribute to a better understanding of congregational life and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Paper copies are available at the Welcome Center.
