Welcome

What an honor to have you here during one of the most memorable seasons of the year! The Advent season is about preparing for Christ to come again as He came that first Christmas long ago bringing hope, peace, joy, and love.

Be sure to pick up your copy of the book at the Welcome Center for your family this morning. There is a daily reading for each day until December 25.

Please come again to worship with us soon. And join us for our Christmas Eve Family Candlelight Service December 24 at 4:30pm.

Use the Connect Card in the seat back to let us know you were here or request additional information. If you are online or if we can serve you in any way complete the Digital Connect Card.

Red Letter Advent Challenge

Unbox the gifts Jesus wants you to both receive and give away: hope, peace, joy, and love.

Don’t just go through this Advent season and change nothing. Every day in the Advent book, there’s a challenge for you to complete. (Let us know if you need a copy of the Red Letter Advent Book: Advent@stpetersedina.org). Many of these challenges are not new things but simply will help you focus on Jesus and bring Him into many of the traditions you are already doing.

Together, the St. Peter’s family journeyed through the Red Letter Challenge last Lent looking at the words Jesus spoke that are often Red in our Bibles. This Advent, we entering into another life-changing Bible challenge complete with 25 daily readings; Sunday messages; Right Now Media videos; small group discussions; STP KIDS curriculum; and daily social media posts.

Christmas Eve Service

This Christmas Eve, gather with us for Red Letter Christmas, a heartfelt worship experience celebrating Jesus as the greatest gift! Together, we’ll reflect on His words—the red letters in the Bible—and the hope, peace, joy, and love He brings into our lives.

This family-friendly service will feature a message from our pastor, traditional Christmas readings, and the opportunity to sing beloved Christmas songs led by our worship team. You’ll also enjoy a special presentation of the Christmas story by our kids, bringing the wonder of Jesus’ birth to life. After the service, make sure to stop by and make some memories at our Christmas Photo Booth!

Event cards are available to give to family and friends to invite them to participate. Come celebrate and unbox the gift of Christmas with us. We can’t wait to worship with you!

Children’s Christmas Program

All children are invited to participate in the 4:30pm Christmas Eve family service where children will share the gift of Christmas. Set to a children’s Christmas book, students will narrate and dress in costume as part of the Nativity. On Sunday, December 22, we will have a brief walk through in the sanctuary, immediately following the Sunday morning service.

Advent Challenge Discussion Groups

This morning at 10:45am

Our St. Peter’s small group discussion will include the gift of love video designed to enhance your Advent season. We will challenge each other as we consider the gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love.

All 4 of the challenge videos are online. You can access them below. Here is how to sign up for a video streaming free of charge: Right Now Media

A Gift…

Christ brought Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love at Christmas. It is amazing to both receive them AND share them.

We encourage you to join us in the excitement of giving this Christmas season. Check out the giving option on the website by clicking the button below. If we can provide assistance or answer questions, be sure to let us know at info@stpetersedina.org.

Together we meet families at the intersection of faith and real life.

Spread Joy Through Your Generosity

Help a child in poverty experience joy by removing the fear of where his or her next meal will come from. Stop by the Compassion giving tree today to make a difference for a child/family in need around the world. Ornaments are available on the table with a need and a gift level. Then write your name on the back of an ornament and hang it on the tree. All the details are on the table.

Spread joy through your generosity this Christmas and help children in poverty get enough food to eat. Together, let’s fill the Giving Tree!

Thank You!

Millions of Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts were dropped off during National Collection Week at over 4,500 locations across the U.S. Those boxes were inspected by thousands of volunteers at our eight processing centers before they are shipped overseas to children in need.

It all starts with people like you who share the Gift of Christmas! Thank you for packing shoeboxes. We’re excited to see how God uses this year’s boxes to bring glory to His Name! Now this week, pray that God would open the hearts of the boys and girls who will receive the shoeboxes and that they would invite Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior.

New Year New Musical!

Unlabeled Theatre Company is celebrating their one year anniversary with their third production, SPONGEBOB the MUSICAL. In typical UTC fashion, this version will be unlike any other you've seen on either television or on the stage. Get ready to experience their unique “shadow partner” staging model as they reimagine this contemporary classic.

The St. Peter’s family is excitedly invited to participate in this event that runs January 10-19.
