Welcome

What an honor to have you here as we prepare for a new year!

Be sure to stop at the NEXT STEPS wall (or on the website) to discover how you can make 2025 the greatest year ever! We’d love to walk beside you the whole way. Pick up a “Welcome Home” booklet at the Welcome Center to learn more about our ministry support.

Use the Connect Card in the seat back to let us know you were here or request additional information. If you are online or if we can serve you in any way complete the Digital Connect Card.

Please come again to worship with us soon. Read on to discover our January inspirational message series.

Christmas Continues…

The St. Peter’s Holiday tradition returns!  Enjoy some Christmas cookies for our fellowship time after worship. We will brew up some Caribou and have some New Year's punch with a great variety of tasty cookies and maybe a few other family Christmas traditions.

Thank you for sharing in some continuing Christmas joy...

The Words We Say

The three words please, sorry, and thanks are the foundation of all healthy relationships. The way we use those three words has a huge affect on spiritual, mental, and emotional health. Those three words will determine how happy we are and even how holy we are. If you want to change your life, you have to change your words!

Nothing opens doors like please. Nothing mends fences like sorry. Nothing builds bridges like thanks. In fact, the best predictor of your success in life, in love, and in leadership is your proficiency with these three seemingly simple words.

  • How do you cultivate intimate relationships?

  • How do you make amends for the mistakes you’ve made?

  • How do you overcome trauma?

  • How do you find true happiness?

  • How do you shift the atmosphere at home?

  • How do you change the culture at work?

  • How do you win friends and influence people?

You get really good at please, sorry, and thanks! This winter, we will take the first five weeks of 2025 to discover the importance of powerful words. Join us in worship for some inspiring messages and stay for Pastor Mark’s Bible class, beginning January 5 at 10:45am, as we discuss them in more depth. Can you think of anyone who might need a vocabulary boost? Invite them!

New Year New Musical!

Unlabeled Theatre Company is celebrating their one year anniversary with their third production, SPONGEBOB the MUSICAL. In typical UTC fashion, this version will be unlike any other you've seen on either television or on the stage. Get ready to experience their unique “shadow partner” staging model as they reimagine this contemporary classic.

The St. Peter’s family is excitedly invited to participate in this event that runs January 10-19.

A Gift…

Did you know that 10% of all charitable giving happens in the last three days of the year? Even crazier—5% happens on December 31st alone!

Christ brought Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love at Christmas. It is amazing to both receive them AND share them.

We encourage you to join us in the excitement of giving this Christmas season. Check out the giving option on the website by clicking the button below. If we can provide assistance or answer questions about year end giving, be sure to let us know at info@stpetersedina.org.

Together we meet families at the intersection of faith and real life.

Spread Joy Through Your Generosity

LAST WEEK TO DONATE! Help a child in poverty experience joy by removing the fear of where his or her next meal will come from. Stop by the Compassion giving tree today to make a difference for a child/family in need around the world. Ornaments are available on the table with a need and a gift level. Then write your name on the back of an ornament and hang it on the tree. All the details are on the table.

Spread joy through your generosity and help children in poverty get enough food to eat. Together, let’s fill the Giving Tree!

Thank You!

Millions of Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts were dropped off during National Collection Week at over 4,500 locations across the U.S. Those boxes were inspected by thousands of volunteers at our eight processing centers before they are shipped overseas to children in need.

It all starts with people like you who share the Gift of Christmas! Thank you for packing shoeboxes. We’re excited to see how God uses this year’s boxes to bring glory to His Name! Now this week, pray that God would open the hearts of the boys and girls who will receive the shoeboxes and that they would invite Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior.

Share Your Red Letter Advent Book

We hope you enjoyed our challenge around the Advent gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love. You are welcome to keep the book to use in years ahead. However, if you are ready to part with it, we will get it into the hands of others. If you wrote in it, or it is bent up, please put it in the wooden box under the coat rack and we will get it out to a leader in a church somewhere around the globe. Or if it is still in like new condition, we will share it with another congregation to challenge them next Advent - put unmarked copies in the small cardboard box.

We’d love to hear about your experience. Did you take a challenge? What did you learn? What did you do with your gifts? Send some thoughts to Advent@stpetersedina.org.
