Greeting
You were created for a purpose! God created us to be in perfect union with Him. In other words, God made you so He could love you! How does that make you feel? But, that perfect relationship was shattered in the Garden of Eden, and that brokenness continues.
This Lent, we invite you to spend more time in the presence of God. And when you do, His influence in every aspect of your life increases. So we pray: "More of You, God." Discover how to live in the fully restored relationship Jesus offers.

Pastor: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Pastor: For this is what the Lord says—He who created the heavens,

Pastor: He who fashioned and made the earth,
All: He founded it;
Pastor: He did not create it to be empty,
All He formed it to be inhabited. (Isaiah 45:18)
Pastor: So we return to the Garden of Eden on a journey of restoring the lost relationship we once had with our creator. For when He formed the earth, God filled it with life.

Scripture
Colossians 1:16-17 (MSG) - We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible… everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment.
STP KIDS Dismissal
STP KIDS is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Older children are welcome to participate as helpers. Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!

Confession / Forgiveness
Pastor: Confession and restoration are integral themes within the Christian faith, deeply rooted in the Biblical narrative. These concepts are essential for understanding the process of repentance, forgiveness, and the renewal of one's relationship with God.
Pastor: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
All: But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Pastor: Let us then confess our sins to God our Father.
All: Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways to the glory of your holy name. Amen
Pastor: Almighty God in his mercy has given his Son to die for you and for his sake forgives you all your sins. As a called and ordained servant of the Word I therefore forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Prayer

Restoration
Pastor: Almighty God who created us and loved us longs to restore us. As we pray "More of You, God" we see His mercy and love for us.
Isaiah 46:3-4 - Listen to me… you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Communion
The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod holds the Biblical teaching that in Communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of the real presence of the Christ in this meal and grace through faith in Christ, and if you agree with our confession of faith, please join with the fellowship of disciples in Holy Communion.
“Everyone should examine themselves first, and then eat the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.” (1 Corinthians 11:28-29)
The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
