The Lord’s Prayer (It’s Yours)

Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart
Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart

Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us forgive us
As we forgive the ones who sinned
Against us forgive them
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from the evil one
Let your kingdom come

Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart
Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart

Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us forgive us
As we forgive the ones who sinned
Against us forgive them
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from the evil one
Let your kingdom come

It's yours it's yours
All yours all yours
The kingdom the power
The glory are yours

It's yours it's yours
All yours all yours
Forever and ever
The kingdom is yours

It's yours it's yours
All yours all yours
The kingdom the power
The glory are yours

It's yours it's yours
All yours all yours
Forever and ever
The kingdom is yours

Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart
Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart

On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart

Confession & Forgiveness

Pastor: God calls you and me into a close relationship with Him. Join me as we confess our life struggles and shortcomings to the Lord.

All: Lord, I am easily discouraged.  I have deprived myself of reading the Bible’s promise of Your love and forgiveness, no matter what I have said and done. I confess today that I have not followed the guidance and direction You give in Your Word. I have not spent time with You. My commitment to personal Spiritual growth is flawed.  Forgive me these and all of my sins for the sake of my Savior, Jesus. Amen.

Pastor: Your Heavenly Father has heard your confession and has placed your sin upon Jesus who gave His life on the cross so that you and I could have life. Your sins are forgiven in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. God cares deeply about you. He desires to spend time with you. Your faith will grow as you read God’s Word.

Scripture Reading

2 Timothy 3:14-17 - But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

John 20:31 - “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”

Nicene Creed

All: I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried. And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures and ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. And He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead, whose kingdom will have no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets. And I believe in one holy Christian and apostolic Church, I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins, and I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Message: Reading Your Bible

Psalm 1 - Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take

Psalm 4 - Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God.

Psalm 9 - I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

Psalm 11 - In the LORD I take refuge.

Psalm 13 - How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever?

Psalm 14 - The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”

Psalm 19:1-4 - The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.

Psalm 19:7-10 - The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.
The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;

Psalm 119:1 - Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.

Psalm 119:97-105 - Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts. I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word. I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Prayer

If you are in need of prayer, we would love the opportunity to pray with you! You can post a prayer on our online prayer wall, or submit a private prayer to our prayer team.

Thy Strong Word

Thy strong word did cleave the darkness
At Thy speaking it was done
For created light we thank Thee
While thine ordered seasons run
Alleluia alleluia
Praise to Thee who light dost send
Alleluia alleluia
Alleluia without end

Lo on those who dwelt in darkness
Dark as night and deep as death
Broke the light of Thy salvation
Breathed Thine own life giving breath
Alleluia alleluia
Praise to Thee who light dost send
Alleluia alleluia
Alleluia without end

From the cross Thy wisdom shining
Breaketh forth in conquering might
From the cross forever beameth
All Thy bright redeeming light
Alleluia alleluia
Praise to Thee who light dost send
Alleluia alleluia
Alleluia without end

God the Father light creator
To Thee laud and honor be
To Thee Light of Light begotten
Praise be sung eternally
Holy Spirit light revealer
Glory glory be to Thee
Mortals angels now and ever
Praise the Holy Trinity

Communion

The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod holds the Biblical teaching that in Communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of the real presence of the Christ in this meal and grace through faith in Christ, and if you agree with our confession of faith, please join with the fellowship of disciples in Holy Communion.

“Everyone should examine themselves first, and then eat the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.” (1 Corinthians 11:28-29)

Prayer for the Reading of Scripture

Pastor: Blessed Lord, You have caused all Holy Scriptures to be written for our learning. Grant that we may so hear them, read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them that, by patience and comfort of Your holy Word, we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
