Greeting & Announcements

Call to Worship

Pastor: O God, how full of wonder and splendor You are!

All: I see the reflections of Your beauty and hear the sounds of Your majesty wherever I turn. Even the babbling of babes and the laughter of children spell out Your name in indefinable syllables.

Pastor: When I gaze into star-studded skies and attempt to comprehend the vast distances, I contemplate in utter amazement my Creator’s concern for me.

All: I am dumfounded that You should care personally about me. And yet You have made me in Your image.  You have called me Your child.

Pastor: You have ordained me as Your priest and chosen me to be Your servant.

All: You have assigned to me the fantastic responsibility of caring for Your creative activity. O God, how full of wonder and splendor You are!

America The Beautiful

O beautiful for spacious skies
For amber waves of grain
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain

America America
God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good
With brotherhood
From sea to shining sea

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of Our Country

All: I Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands; one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Christian Flag

All: I Pledge allegiance to the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the faith for which it stands; one Savior, eternal, with grace and mercy for all. So help me God.

The Star-Spangled Banner

O Say can you see
By the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight’s last gleaming
Whose broad stripes
And bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly streaming

And the rockets’ red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there

O say does that star-spangled
Banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free
And the home of the brave

Confession & Forgiveness

Pastor: Let us bless the name of the God of our Fathers for His mercy and grace by which He invites us to the full and free forgiveness of all our sins. Almighty God, because we cannot keep Your Law as You command us to do, we confess to You:

All: The emptiness of our worship, our lack of appreciation for the freedom we enjoy, our hesitating witness for Christ, our imperfect management of Your gifts, and our evasion of responsibility in Your service.

Pastor: Have mercy on us according to Your steadfast love and cleanse us from our sin.

All: Create in us clean hearts and put a new and right spirit within us for the sake of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Pastor: Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you all your sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life. May the truth of this victory be freely proclaimed to the Glory of God!

The Battle Hymn of the Republic

Mine eyes have seen the glory
Of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage
Where the grapes of wrath are stored
He hath loosed the fateful lightning
Of His terrible swift sword
His truth is marching on

Glory glory hallelujah
Glory glory hallelujah
Glory glory hallelujah
Our God is marching on

In beauty of the lilies
Christ born across the sea
With a glory in His bosom
That transfigures you and me
As he died to make men holy
Let us live to make men free
While God is marching on

Glory glory hallelujah
Glory glory hallelujah
Glory glory hallelujah
Our God is marching on

Scripture Reading

1 Peter 4:7-11 - The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

To God Be The Glory

To God be the glory
Great things he hath done
So loved He the world
That He gave us His Son
Who yielded His life
An atonement for sin
And opened the Lifegate
That all may go in

Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord
Let the earth hear His voice
Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord
Let the people rejoice
O Come to the Father
Through Jesus the Son
And give Him the glory
Great things He hath done

Volunteering In Scripture

Pastor: A big part of being a Christian is living in obedience to Christ. The Bible speaks to us about doing acts of service and making disciples of our Lord and Savior.  May these words from the Bible about volunteering strengthen and encourage you in your service today.

Pastor:  “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

All: Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:18)

Pastor: Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. (Colossians 3:23-24)

All: Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)

Pastor: “Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” (Isaiah 58:10)

All: “The greatest among you will be your servant.” (Matthew 23:11)

Statements of Faith

Pastor: The Ten Commandments.

All: You shall have no other gods. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God. Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Honor your father and your mother. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Pastor: The Apostles' Creed.

All: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Before You Lord We Bow

Before You Lord we bow
Our God who reigns above
And rules the world below
Boundless in pow'r and love
Our thanks we bring
In joy and praise
Our hearts we raise
To You our King

The nation You have blest
May well Your love declare
From foes and fears at rest
Protected by Your care
For this bright day
For this fair land
Gifts of Your hand
Our thanks we pay

And when in power He comes
Oh may our native land
From all its rending tombs
Send forth a glorious band
A countless throng
With joy to sing
To Heavens high King
Salvations song

Prayer For Our Nation

Pastor: For the freedom to worship as we please, the freedom to speak, the freedom to travel, the freedom to live where we want, and the freedom to love;

All: We thank and praise the God of the nations.

Pastor: For justice in our courthouses, laws that stop crimes, rulings that are handed down for our safety and protection;

All: We thank and praise the God of the nations.

Pastor: For peace in our land, quiet, restful nights, agreements made between countries to end fighting, and people who maintain order in our streets;

People: We thank and praise the God of the nations.

Pastor: For the freedom the Church has had for generations to live out our faith and volunteer to show care for both the citizens and foreigners among us;

People: We thank and praise the God of the nations.

*If you are in need of prayer, we would love the opportunity to pray with you! You can post a prayer on our online prayer wall, or submit a private prayer to our prayer team.

God of Our Fathers

God of our fathers
Whose Almighty hand
Leads forth in beauty
All the starry band
Of shining worlds
In splendor through the skies
Our grateful songs
Before Your throne arise

Your love divine
Has led us in the past
In this free land
By You our lot is cast
Oh be our Ruler
Guardian Guide and Stay
Your word our law
Your paths our chosen way

From war's alarms
From deadly pestilence
Make Your strong arm
Our ever sure defense
Your true religion
In our hearts increase
Your bounteous goodness
Nourish us in peace

Blessing

Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God Bless America

God bless America
Land that I love
Stand beside her
And guide her
Through the night
With the light from above

From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America
My home sweet home
God bless America
My home sweet home

From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America
My home sweet home
God bless America
My home sweet home
