Greeting
There has been a lot of discussion about things getting "back to normal" in the last couple of years. Truth is... normal was not that great anyway! When we lean on any sense of normalcy, predictability, security, and control then we miss out on leaning on Jesus.
O Bless The Lord My Soul
Oh bless the Lord my soul
Let all in me combine
To aid my tongue to bless His name
Whose favor is divine
Oh bless the Lord my soul
Nor let His mercies lie
Forgotten in unthankfulness
And without praises die
The Lord forgives my sins
And He relieves my pain
The Lord has healed my sicknesses
And made me whole again
He crowns my life with love
He ransoms from the grave
He that redeemed my soul from hell
Has sovereign power to save
He fills the poor with good
He gives the sufferers rest
The Lord has judgments for the proud
Relief for those oppressed
Scripture Reading
Romans 12:1-2 - Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

STP Kids Dismissal
STP Kids is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!
Message: Normal
Psalm 46:10 - “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Romans 12:2 - Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Luke 10:38-42 - As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 - “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Be Thou My Vision
Be Thou my Vision O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought by day or by night
Waking or sleeping Thy presence my light
Be Thou my Wisdom and Thou my true Word
I ever with Thee and Thou with me Lord
Thou my great Father I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling and I with Thee one
Riches I heed not nor man’s empty praise
Thou mine Inheritance now and always
Thou and Thou only be first in my heart
High King of Heaven my Treasure Thou art
High King of Heaven my victory won
May I reach Heaven’s joys O bright Heaven’s Sun
Heart of my own heart whatever befall
Still be my Vision O Ruler of all
Heart of my own heart whatever befall
Still be my Vision O Ruler of all
Prayer
Confession and Forgiveness
Pastor: With confidence in Christ, let us confess our sins to God our Father.
People: Merciful God, Your Word alone gives life, but we are distracted from receiving and obeying Your Word. In our thinking, speaking, and doing, we have done what Your Word forbids, and we have failed to do what Your Word commands. Thank You for being a wonderful Father and a merciful Savior! Bring us again to the foot of Jesus’ cross that we may receive the forgiveness we so desperately need. Amen.
Pastor: Almighty God, in His great mercy, has given His Son to die for you and, for Jesus’ sake, He forgives you all your sins. Upon this your confession, I, as a called and ordained servant of Christ, forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer
People: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
Blessing
