Greeting
What’s a home? The very thought of home brings memories, good and bad. The home is a place where love is experienced – but sadly, the home is a place where hurts can be real. We all share some common realities about home. So please, sit back and make yourself at home!
Prayer For Our Homes
Pastor: Heavenly Father, may our homes be places where Divine mercy is experienced. May our homes be places of prayer where we are privileged to call upon and bring glory to the name of our Lord and Savior. May our homes be places where the Holy Spirit brings faith and hope and peace to all.
People: Grant this within my home I pray. Amen.
O Blest The House
Oh blest the house, whate’er befall
Where Jesus Christ is all in all
For if he were not dwelling there
How dark and poor and void it were
Oh, blest that house where faith is found
And all in hope and love abound
To trust their God and serve Him still
And do in all His holy will
Oh blest that house; it prospers well
In peace and joy the parents dwell
And in their children’s lives is shown
How richly God can bless His own
Then here will I and mine today
A solemn cov’nant make and say
Though all the world forsake His Word
My house and I will serve the Lord
Scripture Reading
Colossians 3:12-17 - Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Nicene Creed
People: I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried. And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures and ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. And He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead, whose kingdom will have no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets. And I believe in one holy Christian and apostolic Church, I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins, and I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Message: Home
Deuteronomy 5:32-33 - So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
Deuteronomy 6:1-2 - These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 - Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children.
Deuteronomy 6:7 - Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Deuteronomy 6:9 - Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Prayer
Confession
Pastor: Together we make confession of our sins to our gracious God. Eternal Lord of heaven and earth,
People: We admit the wrongs we have done in thought, word, and deed and humbly confess our sins to You. In Jesus' name we ask for Your forgiveness. Grant us the spirit of repentance, and restore us with those from whom we are distanced. Renew our hearts and homes that we might live each day for Your glory.
Communion
The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod holds the Biblical teaching that in Communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of the real presence of the Christ in this meal and grace through faith in Christ, and if you agree with our confession of faith, please join with the fellowship of disciples in Holy Communion.
“Everyone should examine themselves first, and then eat the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.” (1 Corinthians 11:28-29)
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Pastor: Lord of life and giver of all good gifts, we joyfully thank You for being truly present among us. As You have blessed us with Your body and blood for the forgiveness of sins in this life,
People: So bless us with Your continued presence within our hearts and homes. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer
People: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
Blessing
Isaiah 32:18 - My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Which through Your grace we now have heard
Oh may the precious seed take root
Spring up and bear abundant fruit
We praise You for the means of grace
As homeward now our steps we trace
Grant Lord that we who worshiped here
May all at last in heav’n appear
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heav’nly host
Praise Father Son and Holy Ghost
