Greeting
What should we do? We tend to ask that question when we hear something unexpected. The unexpected message is that Jesus, who was raised from the dead, and has given us the Holy Spirit. So... what will you do now?
Call To Worship
Pastor: Those who heard the Gospel message asked "What should we do?"
All: Change your life. Turn to God. And be baptized.
Pastor: Baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
All: And we are assured our sins are forgiven!
Pastor: God is not done yet! He is at work in your life and in mine. This promise is for you, your children, and for those far away
All: For all who have been called by the Lord our God.
Not Done Yet
God of the promise
God of the future
You see beginning and end
God of the rescue
God of the breakthrough
How great is Your faithfulness
You're not done yet
No eye has ever seen
No ear has ever heard
No one could ever comprehend
Your word will be enough
Your promise we will trust
Greater things are still ahead
You're not done yet
You're not done yet
God in my seeking
God in my dreaming
You put a song in my soul
God in the working
God I'm believing
You'll do the impossible
You're not done yet
No eye has ever seen
No ear has ever heard
No one could ever comprehend
Your word will be enough
Your promise we will trust
Greater things are still ahead
You're not done yet
You're not done yet
You're not done yet
You're not done yet
You're up to something right now
You're doing a new thing right now
God let Your glory come down
Don't hold back
Don't hold back
You're up to something right now
You're doing a new thing right now
God let Your glory come down
Don't hold back
Don't hold back
You're moving mountains right now
You're breaking chains right now
God let Your glory come down
Don't hold back
Don't hold back
No eye has ever seen
No ear has ever heard
No one could ever comprehend
Your word will be enough
Your promise we will trust
Greater things are still ahead
You're not done yet
You're not done yet
You're not done yet
Greater things are still ahead
You're not done yet
Scripture Reading
Acts 2:14,36-41 - Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say….“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
Baptized Into Your Name Most Holy (LW 180)
Baptized into Your name most holy
O Father Son and Holy Ghost
I claim a place though weak and lowly
Among Your seed Your chosen host
Buried with Christ and dead to sin
I have Your Spirit now within
My loving Father here You take me
Henceforth to be Your child and heir
My faithful Savior here You make me
The fruit of all Your sorrows share
O Holy Ghost You comfort me
Though threatening clouds around I see
O faithful God You never fail me
Your covenant surely will abide
Let not eternal death assail me
Should I transgress it on my side
Have mercy when I come defiled
Forgive lift up restore Your child
All that I am and love most dearly
Receive it all O Lord from me
Oh let me make my vows sincerely
And help me Your own child to be
Let nothing that I am or own
Serve any will but Yours alone

Prayer
Confession & Forgiveness
Pastor: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
All: But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Pastor: Let us then confess our sins to God our Father.
All: Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways to the glory of your holy name. Amen.
Pastor: In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ was given to die for us, and for his sake God forgives us all our sins. To those who believe in Jesus Christ he gives the power to become the children of God and bestows on them the Holy Spirit. May the Lord, who has begun this good work in us, bring it to completion in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Communion
The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod holds the Biblical teaching that in Communion we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. If you are a baptized Christian who has been instructed in the Biblical teaching of the real presence of the Christ in this meal and grace through faith in Christ, and if you agree with our confession of faith, please join with the fellowship of disciples in Holy Communion.
“Everyone should examine themselves first, and then eat the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.” (1 Corinthians 11:28-29)
The Lord’s Prayer
All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
Blessing
2 Chronicles 15:7 - But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
Cornerstone
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus' Name
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus' Name
Christ alone cornerstone
Weak made strong
In the Savior’s love
Through the storm
He is Lord Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil
Christ alone cornerstone
Weak made strong
In the Savior’s love
Through the storm
He is Lord Lord of all
Christ alone cornerstone
Weak made strong
In the Savior’s love
Through the storm
He is Lord Lord of all
When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless stand before the throne
Christ alone cornerstone
Weak made strong
In the Savior’s love
Through the storm
He is Lord Lord of all
