Greeting and Announcements
We all could use a little margin. You know, that space all around the page. In the book of your life, is your story full right to the edge of today's page, or is there room to take advantage of other opportunities that come up? Will you be able to chat with your daughter? Help a friend? Spend time with people you care about? Is there any space left in your life for others or have you used up all the margin?
Happy Father's Day! Dads have a reputation for being non-existent in the home. The demands on dad's life are many. Today, let's simplify.
Invocation
Pastor: Jesus taught His disciples to pray. Our homes should be places of prayer where we are privileged to call upon and bring glory to the name of our Lord and Savior. We also do so here, in God's house, as we pray together:
All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Pastor: We celebrate that our Lord Jesus Christ completed His earthly work and returned to the right hand of the Father. To God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit we ascribe our praise:
All: For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Pastor: What does this mean?
All: God tenderly invites us to believe that He is our true Father, and that we are His true children, so that with all boldness and confidence we may ask Him as dear children ask their dear father.
Pastor: Together, we proclaim the goodness of our Heavenly Father:

STP Kids Dismissal
STP Kids is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Older children are welcome to participate as helpers. Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!

Mark 6:30-31 - The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
Mark 6:32 - So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.
