Greeting and Announcements
America knows the value of children. As summer comes to a close and school ramps up, let's offer prayer and encouragement for our community. Schools are very different places today than in the past, but with Christ beside us, we find faith amidst challenges.
A Prayer for Education
Pastor: We thank You Eternal God for teachers and administrators; for school boards and community leaders; mothers and fathers; for fellow Christians, those men and women, boys and girls who have received knowledge of our Savior and Your grace. We thank You Eternal God for choosing us to be Your people, for calling us and equipping us to teach Your love to the world.
All: Bless families and children with an awareness of Your presence before us, behind us, and beside us. In the name of Jesus, the master teacher. Amen.

Confession and Forgiveness
All: Almighty God, we confess that we have not always learned as we should nor have we taught others as we could. We have failed to give it full attention to your Word in our lives. For this we ask forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
Pastor: And in His name, you will receive full forgiveness for your sin. May the abundance of His grace cover you and make you want to grow in His love and power.
All: We confess that we have not always used what we have learned. The good that we know we should do, we have not always done. The bad that we know we should not do, we have often done. For this we ask forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
Pastor: Because Christ, your Savior, has done the good that you have failed to do; because He has paid for the bad that you have done, you are forgiven. Therefore, throw away the load of guilt and join in praising our God.

Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
STP Kids Dismissal
STP Kids is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Older children are welcome to participate as helpers. Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!
