Home - Together For The Holidays

“Come, Lord Jesus, be our Guest” is a prayer prayed around the table in many of our homes. As the holiday gatherings arrive, your home can become a place of hope and friendship, a warm and inviting atmosphere for all your loved ones. Jesus ate with his disciples and celebrated at holiday meals. Bring together others with an invitation for others to experience the love of Christ.

The Lord’s Prayer (It’s Yours)

Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart
Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart

Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us forgive us
As we forgive the ones who sinned
Against us forgive them
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from the evil one
Let your kingdom come

Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart
Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart

Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us forgive us
As we forgive the ones who sinned
Against us forgive them
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from the evil one
Let your kingdom come

It's yours it's yours
All yours all yours
The kingdom the power
The glory are yours

It's yours it's yours
All yours all yours
Forever and ever
The kingdom is yours

It's yours it's yours
All yours all yours
The kingdom the power
The glory are yours

It's yours it's yours
All yours all yours
Forever and ever
The kingdom is yours

Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart
Father let your kingdom come
Father let your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart

On Earth as in Heaven
Right here in my heart

Greeting & Announcements

A Prayer for Togetherness

Pastor:  Lord, your good gifts overflow into our lives.  We thank you for our homes, for those who gather beside us, and for your presence.

All: We thank you for the joy that we share and the blessings that await us.

Pastor: As you have provided for us in the past, so you continue to provide good things for us this day.

All: May our memories of your steadfast faithfulness bring us comfort and peace.

Pastor: Gather your people together, to rejoice in the many blessings from Your hand.

All: As we gather around tables may we remember forever all the great things You have done! Amen.

Scripture Reading

Acts 2:42-47 (NIV) - They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

STP KIDS Dismissal

STP KIDS is the Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Edina, designed for all children from 6 months to 10 years old (Grade 5). Older children are welcome to participate as helpers. Our vision is to partner with parents in raising up a generation of children that will seek their God-given Kingdom mission and impact their world for Jesus!

Our Father By Whose Name

Our Father by whose Name
All fatherhood is known
Who dost in love proclaim
Each family Thine own
Bless Thou all parents
Guarding well
With constant love as sentinel
The homes in which
Thy people dwell

O Christ Thyself a child
Within an earthly home
With heart still undefiled
Thou didst to manhood come
Our children bless in every place
That they may all behold Thy face
And knowing Thee
May grow in grace

O Spirit who dost bind
Our hearts in unity
Who teachest us to find
The love from self set free
In all our hearts such
Love increase
That every home by this release
May be the dwelling place of peace

Apostles Creed

All: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate. Was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell.  The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church,  the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Goodness Of God

I love You Lord
Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days
I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God

All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a father
I've known You as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God

All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
With my life laid down
I’m surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
With my life laid down
I’m surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me

All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God
I will sing of the goodness of God
